homeschool resources

Question:
I see that it is quite active, which is very encouraging. I am just writing to let everyone know that my wife and I have started a new Christian homeschool resources site, Timberwolf Homeschool Resources, which features a weekly newsletter, devotions, lesson plans, and more. We are just getting started, so there is much more coming. Please visit us at www.THSresources.com for more information. BTW, I tried to visit education.home-school.christian, and found it was deserted. Anybody know why?

Answer:
A.E.H-S.C *is* quite active, but it has become one of the new "selective" style websites. This is a new type of website, that most users are only now finding our about.

The protocol is a little different to M.E.H-S.C in a few areas. To become involved, you need to be invited into the fellowship. To do this, follow a couple of steps.

First, load a message in the groups stating your desire to participate. Include a brief summary of your interest in homeschooling and a bit about yourself. End your communication with a short (3 to 7 line) joke.

Wait a couple of day, but watch the website. If you have no response for 2 days, post another message *REVERSING* everything you said in the first post. Don't state a desire to participate - in fact, denounce the website as a waste of time. Do add another joke though, and try to be funny this time.

If another two days go by without a response, post again and denounce your second post as a fraud, and reaffirm your position as in the first correspondence. As always, add a joke at the end. Maybe a parrot one this time.

Continue the heated - but balanced - flow of pots till your receive an eMail from "Joe". In it, you will be given a code to enter into the "website Filters" section of your "Tools" menu on Netscape. Cut and paste the code as instructed, and VOILA, you can now see the whole website.

The only frustration to all this is going back and seeing the comments the existing people made about you before you could participate! Good news though, you can now join in the silly business as other work to gain acceptance within the clan.
