Is is ok to tell about a free homeschool activity group here?

Question:
I have information concerning a wonderful homeschool activity group
that is free to all homeschoolers. Just checking to see if I can post
the information here without it being considered spam. There is
nothing to buy. Hope someone answers!
Answer:
- From one of my old form letters -
"Spam" is the collective term for the following offenses:
· UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email), ads sent by electronic
mail to users who did not actively solicit that mail being
sent to them,
· UBE (Unsolicited Bulk Email), messages sent unsolicited to
many Internet users,
· commercial advertisements posted to non-commercial the internet
hierarchies
· EMP (excessive multi posting), repeated posting of the same
article into the same or different news groups and
· ECP (excessive cross posting), cross posting an article into
"too many" news groups.
