superstition and religion

Question:
Does your state require a teaching certificate to homeschool? If not, why bother? If so, it would be less trouble and more fun to fight them in court. Since there is no evidence that certified teachers do a better job (multiple studies, others here know the references) they should not be able to prove any public benefit.
