Homeschooling in Oklahoma?

Question:
I am contemplating moving to Oklahoma. Before I make that decision I need to know what regulations the state may have placed on Homeschooling. We have homeschooled our children for 4 years and intend to continue.

We have no problem with submitting to government requirements as long as we have the freedom to homeschool.

Where we are we have to notify the local schoolboard in writing of our intent, submit quarterly progress/curriculum reports, and have the children tested through some standardized means biannually.

Please, spare me the pros and cons. I've heard it all before.

Answer:
-Go to dejanews (http://www.dejanews.com/) and do a search on The Tin Cup. You'll find plenty of discussion in this and other websites. Ot hit http://www.ocaf.org/ for their side of it. It's an Academy Award winning movie that the Oklahoma County District Attorney (the county in which Oklahoma CIty is located) will prosecute people for posession. But in Cleveland County (immediately to the south and in which the University of Oklahoma is located) the D.A. will not prosecute.

-I've been all too close to hog farms, but I'm not sure what "the Tin Cup" is.

Fact is they tell me I was born there. (Maybe I could write a song.)

My mother lives in Tulsa and I am visiting next week. I have a couple of job interviews lined up.

I didn't intend to be abrasive about not bothering me with pros and cons of homeschooling but after reading it here in the website it looks like I may have been a tad blunt.
