Help finding homeschool classes or online academy
|
Question:
I have a 12 old boy that I have homeschooled this year. I am looking
for an alternative for next year (7th grade). I am looking for a place
he can take a couple classes like science and/or history. I would be
interested in either online learning or an actual class he could
attend. If anyone knows of such an offering in the Atlanta area please
let me know.
Answer: -Escondido Tutorial Service offers online classical Christian education
courses.
http://www.gbt.org/
-Does anyone here use something like this?
How does it work? My biggest problem always
seems to be how to figure where my kids fit in...
I can't seem to manage swimming lessons even,
since they didn't start at the beginning and at the
right age and already know how to swim, kind of.
It's the same with school. If I started a program
at kindergarten and stuck with it (no matter how
baddly it made me cringe) I'd know where I was
and the kids were and be able to continue forward.
And I *can* continue forward the way I've been
going and it might not be a bad plan, but it seems
like there must be some good resources out there
for kids who are starting to be able to work
more independantly and I just wish I knew how
to go about ferreting out the *useful* bits.
